Day 1

Luang Prabang Arrival

Meals: N/A

Welcome to Luang Prabang – a gorgeous town of UNESCO World Heritage. When you go through the airport entrance, our Asia Private Travels tour guide will meet and drive with you to your hotel for check-in. Meals are on your account and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 2

Luang Prabang – Sightseeing – Khuang Si Waterfall

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast

Optional: Tak Bat ceremony ticket: 15 USD/pax (from 2 pax upward)

Tourists rising early in the morning will see the alms giving ceremony – one important religious activity in Luang Prabang. If you would like to watch the dawn, you should come to the recommended place at the crossroads in time, around 05.00. This place provides a nice spot to enjoy the dawn, and also, you can see the monks from temples walking in the line and receiving the offerings from the Buddhists.

In the morning, our tour group starts going to Phousi Mount, a favorite spot to overlook the panorama of the beautiful city Luang Prabang.

After that, we go down the mountain to arrive at Vat Xieng Thong (also known as the Temple of the Royal City). This temple is not just a stunning construction with skillful patterns, paintings, but it contains a spiritual meaning of the religion.

Next, we head to one temple, which is highlighted by the unique structure of the earliest Lao style – Wat Visoun. Built in the 18th century and located near the alluring Royal Palace; Wat Mai is a full-of-art temple, which is also the most gigantic, the most being decorated with expensive ornaments. This is our next destination to explore, to learn regarding the art of the previous generations.

Then, we will transfer to one hottest tourist attraction in Laos: the Khuang Si Falls. With crystal blue water and over 5-meter-high cascade, tourists will fall in love with the unspoiled beauty and can help themselves splashing in the refreshing water. Moreover, the way getting to Khuang Si is also a pleasant ride, which is through the endless rice paddle field and small rustic villages scattered along the road.

After the Fall, we travel back to the city and enjoy the free time. Meals are on your account and spend the night in the hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 3

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast

Today, we will join the Mekong cruising tour to get to a more exciting destination. About two hours of scenic cruise, we will arrive in Pak Ou Caves, where is impressive with hundreds of Buddha carvings and statues. In the Pak Ou cave (which means the Ou river’s mouth), it is divided into two parts: the Tham Theung (upper part) and the Tham Ting (lower part).

After that, we leave the cave to visit the Ban Xang Hai local village, which is just a few minutes away from the cave. This village soon spread its fame with the technique of producing LauLao (Lao whiskey) and LauHai (Lao Wine). You can watch the process of making the wine and also, grab yourselves some bottle to try how does this drink taste.

On the way returning to Luang Prabang, we will stop to transfer to Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek to learn the process of making Jute Sar paper.

Then, we travel back to the city and enjoy the free time. Dinner on your account and spend the night in the hotel in Luang Prabang.

"The ancient city's charm and beauty exceeded my expectations, exploring the stunning temples of Luang Prabang was a highlight of the tour. Each temple had its own unique architectural style and story. It's so emotional with the morning alms-giving ceremony was a deeply spiritual experience. Witnessing the devotion of the local people was truly humbling to me! I also made friend with lovely people and they told me some Laos stories, we had an overnight together, so memorable. Our guide led us to eat famous streetfood at night and bought lovely souvenirs. We end up with beautiful memories :) Thank you for this amazing tour.  "
