Finish your breakfast; we will take the Tuk -Tuk to start a rough, bumpy half-an-hour ride to Doiluckkam. At the time you arrive in Doiluckkam, a local guide from Khmu village will undertake your tour. Being rich with natural resources, Luang Nam Tha has many kinds of plants and herbs that are helpful to locals.
On the first day, we are going to take it easy on touring. At the Nam Ha NPA, the guide will introduce to us the edible plants and medicinal plants. Wake up early in the morning to enjoy this beautifulness, which you can hard to see around your city home.
Before having breakfast, who rises soon will be able to take a walk around the camp. Since this area is also home for tribal villagers, please notice the dos and don’ts in these cultures. If you have any questions, ask our guide for the instruction. Now, it’s breakfast time, which is hearty cooked by the tour guide.
After fishing the meal, get ready to cross the Nam Ha River and trek a short distance through dreamy field and site to arrive at Ban Nalan. This is a small rustic village, where it is ideal for learning the Khmu typical lifestyle, culture, and traditions.
Then, we will take the two - hour bike riding tour down the mountain to get to Ban Chernsouk. There, the Asia Private Travels driver is waiting to pick us and transfer to Luang Namtha. The day tour ends here.
Early in the morning, have breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Muang Khua.
On the boat, we will cruise 4 - 5 hours to Muang Ngoy. Right there, we will get on a vehicle to transfer north to Nong Khiaw, where is serene with the narrow trails with coconut lines flanked both sides and the fishermen netting the fishnet.
Despite the rapid change in the city lifestyle, time seems to forget flowing in this rural area, which helps us to enjoy the easy, slow, and serene life. The rest of the time is at your leisure. We will overnight in a local guesthouse in Muang Ngoy.
We are sailing to Nong Khiaw this morning. Enjoy the scenic view and the fresh, clear atmosphere in the rural area while flowing on the river. After lunch, explore Phathok – a historical cave (30 min walk from Nong Khiaw), which used to attach with the life of the locals here.
During the' Secret War,' the Nong Khiav villagers used the cave as a hide - out base during the bombing. While walking, enjoy the beautiful scenery and great views of the mountains. Moreover, you can also catch an excellent view of the rice paddle fields and the valley around. Then, you can stroll around the area and choose a nice spot to enjoy the glorious twilight over the river.
While driving on the path along the Nam Ou River – Laos’ longest inland river, we will be led through a spectacular natural site. After your lunchtime, embark on a boat, and we will cruise to Luang Prabang.
Before the sunset, we will arrive at the Nam Ou and Mekong river’s meeting point, where situates the majestic caves of Pak Ou. In the caves, exist thousands of Buddha images.
After sacred moments at Pak Ou, we will head to our next stop at Ban Xang Hai village, which is just a few minutes' walk away. This village is well-known for producing LauLao (Lao whiskey) and LauHai (Lao wine). Spend a little time in the village and of course, buy some bottles if you prefer, and then we will cruise on the Mekong River to Luang Prabang.
After check-in the hotel, you can enjoy your free time strolling in the vibrant, colorful street around the area you live and contemplate the spectacular sunset over the region. In the bustling night markets, you can spend your time discover delicious local food and cool domestics from the citizen, the ethnic minorities around Luang Prabang.
In the morning, our tour starts with a visit to Phousi Mount, a favorite spot to overlook the panorama of the beautiful city of Luang Prabang.
After that, we go down the mountain to arrive at Vat Xieng Thong, which is also known as the Temple of the Royal City. This temple is not just a stunning construction with skillful patterns, paintings, but it contains a spiritual meaning of the religion.
Next, we head to one temple, which is highlighted by the unique structure of the earliest Lao style – Wat Visoun. Built in the 18th century, located near the alluring Royal Palace; Wat Mai is a full-of-art temple, which is also the most gigantic, the most being decorated with expensive ornament. This is our next destination to explore, to learn regarding the art of the previous generations.
Then, we will transfer to one hottest tourist attraction in Laos: the Khuang Si Falls. With crystal blue water and over 5-meter-high cascade, tourists will definitely fall in love with the unspoiled beauty and can help themselves splashing in the refreshing water. Moreover, the way getting to Khuang Si is also a pleasant ride, which is through the endless rice paddle field and small rustic villages scattered along the road.
After the Fall, we travel back to the city and enjoy the free time. Meals on your account and spend the night in the hotel in Luang Prabang.
