Azerai la Residence

We loved this hotel. It is very elegant and luxurious and has a lot of the original 1930's decor. We had a beautiful large room with a spacious balcony overlooking the Perfume River. The staff are lovely and very attentive. The barman makes great cocktails, try the 'Citadel' and Le Parfum '. I had a manicure and pedicure at Le Spa and it was very good.

The hotel is stunning with beautiful Art Deco designed furniture. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming, informative and happy. The restaurant was excellent with a variety of quality meals available at breakfast and dinner. The pool was the best we came across in Vietnam and the bar provided superb cocktails and beers. Most of all I would like to thank our guest relations manager Nguyet who organized trips for us: on the river for a sunset tour; around the ancient citadel with our guide Lan; and transfers from Da Nang airport and another transfer to Hoi An with stop-offs for panoramic views. Overall we had an excellent experience at this hotel.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful quality accommodation. High standards in every area. Delightful ambience throughout. Clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms with large balconies overlooking the river. Centrally located in Hue. Very interesting sights all around Hue. Lovely township with nice clean restaurants. Do not miss Hue. Also private drivers who work for the hotel at the door. New high quality cars. Very good drivers all. I took a car onto Hoi An (4 hours over the pass). My driver, Nguyen, was so nice, such good company and a very safe driver. I enjoyed the trip with Nguyen very much and am very happy to recommend him to another guest. Just perfect. Jane.

What an absolutely fantastic hotel. Luxury at its best with stunning gardens, ponds and an incredible infinity pool with its own bar with views over the river. Our room was riverview and so spacious and utterly stunning. Wonderful servise. However be warned. They have to import wine and whilst beer is cheap a glass of wine will put you back £ 12.00 for a small measure of wine. Absolutely worth it though to stay at this awesome hotel. Graceful and elegant.  

The staff are so helpful and go the extra mile to help. The hotel is very well designed with lots of attention to detail. Restaurant serving good food and so much choice at breakfast. Hotel is about 3-5 mins drive from Hue station and the opposite side of the river from the Citadel, but its easy to walk to. Take a trip on a Dragon Boat - the hotel can organize everything and visit the Pargoda and the tomb on Minh Mang. Wished we had stayed an extra day.

We visited this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip to Vietnam and I think this is now my favorite hotel. The grounds and the hotel itself are magnificent. When we arrived we were picked up at the airport by the hotel and was seamless. We were then upgraded to a beautiful room looking over the river. Also a huge thank you to Oanh who made amazing cocktails and excellent to talk to. Hopefully we will be back.

This Art Deco style hotel in the center of Hue overlooked the perfume river and was wonderful. The food was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to stay again.

My Husband and I stayed in Azerai La Residence, Hue on February 16th & 17th last and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, and clean, it had a balcony with a fantastic view of the river. We ate in the dining room both nights and the food and the service was excellent. The breakfast was equally as good. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We checked out on February 18th and were sad to leave. Later that day, while on a tour, I fell and broke a bone in my pelvis. I was admitted to the International Hospital in Hue, where they looked after me very well. Our guide arranged for my husband to stay in the hotel for the duration of my hospital stay. During my stay I was visited by 8 members of the hotel staff, and, in all, they brought me 3 beautiful bouquets of flowers, and each morning gave my husband a box with fruit, water and yogurt! It was a very worrying time for us and their kindness seemed to make it easier to accept. My husband meanwhile, back at the hotel was treated equally well and offered drinks and we both got a free voucher to return next year! This treatment went far beyond anything I had ever experienced, and we would both like to thank everyone for their kindness!

The Azerai is a beautiful, centrally-located hotel with a wonderful staff, from the bartender who cheerfully persuaded us to come back and see him after we checked in to the concierge and front desk who helped us plan our excursions to the sights and restaurants and night market.
