Pon arena Hotel

The room itself was very basic but the view from the room was beautiful especially for sunrise. The hotel had 2 swimming pools next to each other, with one being an infinity pool. It was a nice to be able to cool off after a very hot day of driving from Pakse.  

This is a very large hotel; we stayed there one night. The room was huge; the bathroom has a separate tub and shower; beds are very comfortable; mini-refrigerator stocked with free water. We stayed in room 341 facing the Mekong River, 3rd story, overlooking one of two infinity pools (there are rooms in another building that do not face the river). Looking at the river one can see fishermen in small boats with their nets. If lucky, you can catch sunrise shimmering over the calm Mekong River. We ate dinner at the hotel’s restaurant: had Pad Thai (very good) and Fish in coconut milk with sticky rice (recommended by our guide, it was Excellent). Breakfast is included: they make eggs to order, and have the usual juices, fresh fruit, bread, muffins, coffee, etc.

Four of us had the pleasure of staying at the Pon Arena for two days and highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with large, separate bathrooms and very, very good beds. The staff was courteous and cared for our needs very well. The food was very good

We stayed in this hotel two nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the dining room is nice, with a great view of the Mekong. The pools also overlook the Mekong so it is quite enjoyable to sit out there and enjoy the view

eeded a place for Xmas so booked this hotel for 7 nights and glad we did. Originally booked the less expensive rooms across the street but once we got there decided to upgrade to overlook the pools (2) and the river -our Xmas present I guess. Very modern and clean hotel with great pools. We ate at the restaurant 2 times and both were excellent. 

Spectacular sunrises at this riverside hotel. Beautiful infinity pool just outside our room made this a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the balcony was a great addition. Breakfast was ok and the breakfast room had a beautiful view of the Mekong river and the life of the fisherman. A great stay

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are big comfortable and clean.The service excellent. The view of the Mekong river is fabulous from the room. The breakfast very good. The view of Mekong river is beautiful from the restaurant also.You can her into a boat from the hotel to explore the islands.There is Pelican in the hotel

We spent in the Pon Arena hotel one week. We only wanted to relax and enjoy the awesome pool and tasty food in the restaurant. The rooms, the pools (there are two pools!), the balconies are very clean. We have seen how careful the staff was cleaning everything around the pool, in the restaurant etc. Every morning we enjoyed the breakfast and the view of the small islands in the Mekong river and the fishermen in their small boats. We had fantastic homemade bread and a lot of fresh fruits, eggs any kind, yoghurt, cereals, congee (rice soup), noodles with vegetables and tasty coffee from Italian coffee machines. They offer a big variety of meals for lunch and dinner - we have tried some of them and were very satisfied. We were very happy to have Miss Bie at the reception, she made our stay very comfortable and remarkable. If you wish more activity you can hire a boat and visit the fantastic waterfalls or take a bike and explore the Don Khong island. We definitely recommend this hotel. We would go back again

I strongly recommend the Pon Arena Hotel in Muang Khong, South Laos. A delightful place to stay while visiting the beautiful SiPhanDon (Four Thousand Islands ) in the Mekong River. The owner and his staff had been our friendly and gracious hosts. Come and enjoy your stay
