Our guide and driver meet and greet you at Noi Bai International airport. Then, we move to the hotel for check in.

Day-02 Hanoi Sightseeing – Water Puppet Show
You have a whole day to explore a lot of prevailing touristy spots in Hanoi-the bustle and hustle city of over 1000 years of history. We pay a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, which is a cluster of Ho Chi Minh’s relics, to learn more about the beloved Father of Vietnamese as well as his humble lifestyle and his military activities. We’ll discover all attractions including: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Still House, Presidential Palace and the nearby One Pillar Pagoda.

Then, we set foot in Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam constructed in the 11th century.

In the afternoon, you will find it really surprising to visit Museum of Ethnology, which sites around 8 km to the northwest of Hanoi center. This museum reflects almost perspectives on tangible and intangible cultural heritage as well as significant features in the life of 54 ethnic groups. It offers you a great chance to witness an inspirational collection of about 27,000 artifacts regarding Vietnamese and Southeast Asian ethnic communities.

Our next attraction is the Hanoi Old Quarter - a place to preserve ancient culture and memory of time. It is a special mixture between its nostalgic ambience of old-styled narrow streets and the dynamic atmosphere of the modern city. Moreover, you will be amazed by its vibrancy and a wide range of products displayed through 36 ancient streets ranging from street foods, clothing, jewelleries to souvenirs and more. Follow our locals guide to have a gastronomic experience by savoring lots of delectable grub that you can’t get enough in some secret alleys.

Our tour finishes with an exciting Water Puppet Show - a conventional Vietnamese art with nearly 1000 year of history and the highlight part of Asia Private Travels's itinerary.

Day-03 Hanoi – Overnight Cruise on Halong Bay
Breakfast will be served at your hotel and then get ready for a scenic drive to Halong Bay - recognized as UNESCO World Heritage with the majestic beauty of stunning natural landscape.

On the way to the gem in the Gulf of Tonkin - Halong Bay, we will pass through the iconic scenery of the lush rice fields and high mountain ranges of the Red River Delta. As soon as you arrive, embark on the Junk boat for a mesmerizing cruise on the bay. Lunch will be served on board.

In the afternoon, we pay a visit to some of the most magical caves of Halong. You will be astonished by the very animated and splendid beauty which is made from stalactites and stalagmites. Set your mind free and enjoy the peace of the magnificent bay.

Refresh yourself in the pure emerald water as the ship stops en route. You can also opt to row kayak to enjoy the tropical vibe in this paradise.

Dinner will be served on the board followed by many exciting activities. Stay overnight on the board.

Day-04 Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Ho Chi Minh
The 3rd day of Classic Journeys starts with the tranquility of the early morning and the splendid landscape of Halong Bay, this is the reasons why you should wake up early this morning.

Enjoy your breakfast on board during the ship continues to sail to other lesser - known areas. Around midday, a light lunch will be served on board before returning to the pier for a trip back to Hanoi on a shuttle bus. Upon your arrival in Hanoi, our private car (no guide) will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh city.

Our guide and driver will wait for you at Tan Son Nhat International Airport for a pick up and transfer to the city center for checking in at your hotel.

Dinner at your own expense. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day-05 Cu Chi Tunnels – City Tour
In the morning, depart from the hotel in private car to Cu Chi Tunnels, which is the unique network of interconnected underground tunnel of 250 km in length.

This is not only the ultimate shelter of Vietnamese soldiers during the American war but also the place for military activities as well as food, medicines and weapons storage. You can also experience the life of a Viet Cong guerrilla; crawl through a section of the immense connecting underground tunnels to gain deeper insights into the difficult conditions that the people have to confront during the war.

Leave Cu Chi tunnels and get back to the city center. Meals at your own expense.

In the afternoon, a city tour will be arranged around Ho Chi Minh city for you to explore the imposing French architecture. Our visit includes the Old Saigon post office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, Reunification Palace and Chinatown Cholon.

Day-06 Mekong Delta Full Day
This morning, Asia Private Travels give you the chance to embark on an amazing adventure in Mekong Delta, which is one of the most amazing destinations in the south of Vietnam. A transfer of 2.5 - 3 hours from Ho Chi Minh city will take you to Ben Tre - our first stop in today’s itinerary.

Upon arrival, we will get on the boat at Phong Nam wharf for a cruise on Chet Say river - a branch of Mekong river. The boat ride will take you along the natural canals under the shadows of water coconut trees offering a great chance to witness the tropical vibe and the authentic life of the locals.

You will also encounter the pastoral life and their conventional handicrafts such as coconut activated charcoal making, coconut-based products processing and mat weaving procedure.

Then, we will move to a peaceful village nearby. There are 2 options for you to commute: hop on “xe loi” - a special motorized rickshaw or cycle a bike around the village through the greenery and mesmerizing paddy fields. Enjoy lunch at a local house where you can gain the gastronomic experience by savoring the local delicacies.

In the afternoon, get on board again for a trip along a narrow canal before returning to the quay, and then moving back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day-07 Ho Chi Minh – Departure – No Guide

So great having local assistance in trip planning with Amy and Asia Private Travels! Most enjoyable was the day in Mekong Countryside; local market, bike ride , local food making/tasting, ... Coung was delightful. The trip to Ha Long Bay was lovely although the stops at Pearl villages both on the way there and on our return were frustrating. Lodging was excellent and we were pleased with our stay in Ha Noi and the surrounding areas. We would definitely come to Amy and Asia Private Travels again when traveling Vietnam.

A memorable trip across Vietnam from the North to the South. Mr Thien (or Thomas as he prefers to be called) was one of our guides and he made this great trip even better for his knowledge, his dedication to his job and his sense of humor. Or guide in Hanoi was Trang (“Anna”) and she was also fantastic giving us a very unique perspective and a taste of egg coffee, a really tasty specialty. The food and the people of Vietnam are truly special and we spent an amazing week. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing. We are a four-person family with two sons, and we planned a week in North and South Vietnam. There were so many trour operators online so we debated whether to go with APT. However, after the trip, I would say that it is almost the ideal option for us. Organizing little things like hotels, guides, and transportation did not take much time or cause any frustration. Each of the tour guides was almost just right for us; they were enthusiastic about their jobs and their nations and knew how to cater to children's demands. It was a pleasure that we love all what we saw, who we met, what we tasted, and what we learnt. Given how much we paid for the vacation, our only complaint would be that some of the accommodations weren't very good. While it is true that we requested three-star accommodations, the hotels chosen, particularly in Saigon, were not meet the standard of 3 stars. The picture that was provided implied that the hotel featured a pool, but in reality, it did not, which is a big thing for children in this hot city. Although there were amazing aspects at each stop along the way, I think Mekong was my favorite.

Hello, as indicated, here is a thorough review of our most recent trip to Vietnam. Overall, this vacation received a perfect five stars—the review was accurate. Regarding his entire strategy, reactivity, and expertise, Tuan was really impressive. We benefited from his experience and his deep knowledge of the nation. And he speaks excellent English. The entire trip's arrangements were amazing. We never had to worry about a guide or driver being late because they were usually a few minutes early and went above and above to make us feel welcome. Luckily, all of the hotels were fine. However, I did not enjoy the hotel in HCM, in part because I felt ill (diarrhea) and the space was not enough for the three of us. Pham stood out among all of the guides. He gives us room to breathe while being highly attentive and courteous. Overall, we would heartily suggest apt and cherish our recent trip to Vietnam with fondness.

Mekong Delta feels like another world

We had a great time learning about the Vietnamese people and culture, the day excursion to the Mekong River and the house stay were both satisfactory. We found the folks in the village to be nice. Our lodging was quite modest. We appreciated the meals, especially the fruit, at Rustic Homestay. Special thanks to Hoang, our youthful and enthusiastic guide, has been quite pleasant, efficient, and simple to work with. We appreciated his approach and the way he treats visitors.

What a fun and flavorful journey

Ho Chi Minh City- we had a nice time here, and the hotel was in an excellent position. The breakfast was adequate. Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable about the country's history, and we were usually picked up on time. The Mekong Delta was breathtaking. Excellent cuisine. The tour organization we selected was fantastic, and they provided excellent transportation back and there. We were also on time. Overall, an incredible trip, with Halong Bay being the highlight. Thank you so much for organizing such an amazing trip. Everything was quite well-organized except for the shuttle. When we must be transferred to the airpot and flighted to HCM city, the shuttle picked us up late so we had to wait about 30 minutes but due to traffic jams it was acceptable. This was a nice trip i and would suggest you to anybody looking to book through your firm.

A trip to remember

My tour took off from Hanoi with so much surprise, daily life of local people are busy but quite interesting because they know the way to entertain i mean. I drunk iced tea with some young people and they shared many exciting stories in Vietnam, very funny! Loved the peaceful vibes

This was a special opportunity for me to know more about Vietnam culture, it was the first time i saw a water puppet show which is kinda hard. Then we moved to Halong bay, we visited beautiful landscapes by kayaking so i love this a lot! I wish i could have more time in Halong because this place was absolutely great at everything!! We also had a memorable time when visiting some places in South Vietnam. Omg i love Vietnam so much!!

Vietnam's scenery was more fantastic than my imagination. When coming to Hanoi, i got a cold after a long flight but Vietnam is still treated me well. I could not cut my eyes off of the cute souvenirs at Hanoi Old Quarter then i bought a lot :) by the way, street food of not only Hanoi but also anywhere that we went was pretty good!

A Week in Northern Vietnam
