Our 5 night stay, in river view balcony room with Executive Lounge benefits, was fantastic! Easy walk to the Old Town with it’s beautiful markets and restaurants. Bar staff we amazing! Special mention to Sara in the Executive Lounge, such a sweetheart, and her perseverance in trying to teach us some Vietnamese phrases, cảm ơn! Also Vy in the Rooftop Bar, great service! The facilities at the hotel were 5 star!

We stayed for four nights as a part of our honeymoon in Vietnam, and we are thanking ourselves for a few relaxing days in Hoi An at this hotel. Our room was wonderful and luxurious with a balcony and a big bathtub. The decor might even be a bit too much for some, but we loved it. Both pools (especially the roof top pool), the friendly staff and the breakfast made us love Hoi An and Hotel Royal even more. We’ve been to plenty of nice hotels within the Sofitel family and this has been the best so far.

We stayed here on 24 Feb and everything exceed my expectation. The room was upgraded to Grand Deluxe Room with walk-in closet and private balcony. Everything was really nice and comfortable. There are also bicycle for you to borrow. The great thing is that it is just 5 mins walk to reach Hoi An Ancient town with a super great experiences you can find. Thank you very much for everything and this will definitely be a place for my stay on our next Hoi An trip.

I am loathe to single out any staff member, as they have all been outstanding! (Sara, Hoa, Vy, Rin, Chi, Tan (chef) Tu, Mr Patrick, spa staff) stayed 10 nights early February, and returned for an additional 5 nights as it was so fantastic! Easy walk to ancient town along the river. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Executive lounge breakfast is small, but adequate and very quiet. Old wing is nice, but I felt the room was over decorated and cluttered. New wing is bright and spacious. Roof top bar is a great view, and breezy on a hot day. We will absolutely be back!

Really happy during my stay - Jan 2020. I voted 5 starts for location and room, 4 for services. I have stayed for many hotels under named Mgallary, quite impress with the restaurants in these hotels, must try.

Stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We had a large, gorgeous room on the 7th floor with a view of the river and the pool (701). The bed was particularly comfortable and all aspects of room maintenance were excellent. Great breakfast choice and good service. We used the executive lounge which was also a nice touch. All staff were excellent but of particular note were Sara, Chi and Giang. It was pleasing to speak with Rin who sought feedback from guests in the dining room. We also took advantage of the hotel bikes on 2 consecutive days, which was great fun. Well done to all concerned and thank you for contributing to building special holiday memories!

We stayed 4 nights here whilst in Hoi An. The hotel is incredible- amentities, customer service, breakfast selection, attention to guests. The location is superb. Right on the river - only a short walk into ancient town. The staff were incredible. Made sure we were comfortable at all times and nothing was too hard for them. They really made an effort to talk to us and joke rather than just serving and leaving. Special special mention to ‘Bamboo’ who was our driver to and from the airport/hotel. He was very engaging and friendly, gave us lots of tips of what to see whilst in Hoi An, surrounding towns/attractions and where to eat locally as well as specialities in the hotel. We followed all his suggestions and were not disapointed once. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Gorgeous property in Hoi An. Location wise, it's a short 5-10 minute walk to the old town. We got everywhere on foot, though the hotel does provide bikes if you want. If you're debating coming to Hoi An - Do it. You won't regret it. It's spectacular. Especially at night. Great shopping and wonderful restaurants. Don't miss the Cao Lau. The weather was rather hazy and rainy so we didn't get to enjoy the pool but it was gorgeous. The rest of the property is also lovely and beautifully decorated. Our guest room was really cool and felt very luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable. We did not take part in the breakfast but it looked like an absolute feast. I will go back someday.

This was the second hotel of our Virgin tour and I think it will take some beating. The room certainly had the wow factor. It was stunning. We had a great river view. Everything was perfect from the huge comfy bed to the fantastic powerful shower. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect being a few minutes from the attractions. The top floor pool was a great place to relax after a busy day of touring and had a lovely breeze and plenty of shade. Breakfast had absolutely everything you could think of and it was lovely to sit outside. There were lots of different juices, pastries and savoury choices. My husband loved the egg station. My only negative would be the drinks. My tea was too strong and Luke warm. It would be lovely to have a teapot or to improve the efficiency of top ups.

We are currently in the royal hotel anxiously awaiting transfer home to UK. The number of guests left is very low yet the hotel and staff are maintaining exceptionally high standards and are doing their very upmost to look after their clients. The company should be very proud of them all and we are very thankful. We have been staying in room 2505 since 13.3.20 which is beautiful.Wishing all the staff the very best for the future.
