Champasak Palace Hotel

A lovely, huge main building - which is completely empty in low season. The cheaper rooms are in a new side building, yet its very clean and spacious. Ultra comfy beds, and a very good breakfast.

Great location close to all shops and markets , rooms are clean and air conditioning works well, the omelet they made was great backs onto river but could not find access , wifi is a little intermittent but that is Laos. Great little budget hotel

Was impressed by this hotel, slightly more luxurious than my normal backpackers. Had large room in the newer section, clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the main dining area, large selection. Quite a few tour groups. Was not impressed with reception staff at first as they continued their conversation as we were waiting to check in. Otherwise staff were fine

The hotel was quite a sight and the food was good in a grand setting within the palace itself. My room was in a back annex and pleasant enough, although rather common compared to the grandeur of the main building. The patio between the two was uncovered, causing an issue in the rain, but it was otherwise a pleasant stay with good service

The hotel is huge and when we stayed almost empty of guests. The rooms are enormous although a bit spartan. The whole place though does still have the feel of a palace even though the grandeur has faded. The dining room is a huge beautiful hall but the breakfast is basic and take your mosquito repellent! The manager was very helpful in arranging transport for day trips at good rates. Try taking the outside lift to the sixth floor and visit the round room at the very top.
