At 08.00 am, the boat will leave Pakbeng and head toward Luang Prabang.

In the afternoon, let’s continue your trip with Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting) and explore over two thousand Buddha statues. And this is the most crucial Pilgrimage place for the Laos people. Then, you will have desserts and drinks which are prepared by our team and the travelers.

The boat will arrive in Luang Prabang before 4:30 pm. Transfer to hotel in town for check-in. Time at leisure.

This tradition is very unique because Laos is the only nation which are still preserving this ritual. Stop and visit fresh local markets and back to the hotel for breakfast. (There will be an extra fee for this optional activity).

In the morning, let’s visit Wat Visoun, this place is famous for the impressive Thad Makmo stupa. The rounded dome is stylistically more Sinhalese than Lao. Continue to visit Wat Aham. Next, go to Wat Xiengthong, the temple that attracts the most tourists. This location is close to the intersection of the Khan and Mekong rivers.

Continue to the National Museum at the former Royal Palace this afternoon. Visit Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-relief. During the Laos New Year - Pimai, the Prabang usually housed in the Royal Palace Museum will be brought and displayed publicly in this temple.

This morning, you will be driven to the Elephant Village, a center with a focus on the protection and rehabilitation of elephants in Laos. Upon arrival, you will be provided the information about the work of caring for the elephants. Next, enjoy your time with the elephants in the camp.

Transfer back to town and ferry to the other side of Mekong to visit Ban Xiemienne village.  Take a walk to discover Wat Long Khoun temple, located in the jungle.In the past, this temple had a close relationship with the royal family of Luang Prabang. In the beginning, Wat Long Khoun worked as a retreat center for spiritual needs. It was customary for the new king-designate to retreat there for three days for ceremonial bathing and meditation.  Back to the hotel and time at leisure.

After having breakfast, let’s spend the morning learning more about the rice culture and farming experience with many interesting activities along the way - a special part of Family Holidays. Be welcomed by the hospitable farmers who will show you how rice is grown and harvested. You can plant rice in the rice paddy together with the farmers while seeing the buffaloes plow the rice paddies. Discover what rice can be used to produce different products.

Driving through farmland and lush rice fields this afternoon. Return to Luang Prabang. When visiting Kuang Si Falls, let’s have a short walk to visit the bear rescued center. Particularly, do not forget to immerse yourself in stunning views and explore the orchids inside the park, the cool waterfalls, etc.
