  • To kick of the tour, Asia Private Travels will pick you up from Luang Prabang and transfer you to Oudomxay in about 3-4 hour driving. After 30 minutes of driving, we will stop at Ban Pak Ou, a village on the Mekong River's bank, directly across from the well-known Pak Ou Sacred Caves. We crossed the river to see the location where hundreds of Buddha statues were donated by devotees.

    After that, we'll get back in the minivan and carry on our journey. You can make stops along the road to explore, take photos, wander around, and visit several ethnic villages (mainly Hmong minorities). You are headed to the 5-star resort in Oudomxay (or the nearby city of Muang La) in the afternoon.These places are nestled in paradise, contrasting an unexpected luxury resort with the surrounding jungle and villages inhabited by ethnic minorities.

    The wonderful sceneries and the services around culture, activities, and wellness are exceptional. It is known to be among the best in Laos that is promised to bring you the best stay!

    There are many different activities if you want to discover the area. By foot, by car, or by bicycle, you have a 1/2 day option or all day, for all levels. You also can enjoy the SPA and massage at the resort.

    After your breakfast, we head out to Muang Khua by following the main road towards Phongsaly crossing rolling hills; the road leads eventually to Dien Bien Phu in Vietnam. We continue to follow the Nam Pak River, where some of the local people ‘pan for gold”.

    Approximately 3 hours after leaving Muang La Resort, arriving at Muang Khua to start a superb river cruise. Undoubtedly, the trip from Muang Khua to NongKhiaw is among the most picturesque in the area! You will have the chance to descend the Nam Ou River and discover many villages and beautiful landscapes with limestone formations rising majestically from the water.

    Then early afternoon, Asia Private Travels will escourt you to NongKhiaw to see the spectacular sunset!

    After breakfast, your chauffeur and guide are ready for the last-day trip back to Luang Prabang. Belonging to your time schedule, we might go straight to the airport or take our time. Then take a 3-hour drive to Luang Prabang.

    Before leaving the village, we will have a look at the Patok cave, where the administration ruled the region when secret war was very active for more than 10 years.

    It’s time to return to beautiful Luang Prabang so you can continue the next Laos tours.

    After 30 minutes of driving, we will stop in Ban Na Ngan, a Tai Lu ethnic village specializing in cotton production naturally dyed with indigo.

    When you arrive in Luang Prabang, a transfer will take you to your accommodation.

This was the second time I've been to Laos. The previous trip was not really lucky because of the bad weather and poor accomodation. So this time my family decided to travel back here again, with APT team. Actually we didn't really expect a lot on this trip because of the previous unluckiness. But APT team definitely surprised us! i and my mother really had some trouble with food. Lao foods and flavors are not suitable for us. So we didn't have much to eat :( But Luang Prabang is definitely beautiful and gorgeous. We had meaningful time here. This is a great choice to visit but you guys should consider whether you love the food here or not
