Full Itinerary

Day 1

Chiang Mai - Chiang Dao - Muang Kong - Lahu Village

Transfer:

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

At 9 o’clock in the morning, there will be a truck prepared to collect you from the hotel and take you to the northern Chiang Mai. We will then drop a short visit at Mae Malai Market at 10 o’clock. Half an hour later, continue to make for Chiang Dao Cave, where you are welcome to have a stroll around and discover what is located inside.
Enjoy the lunch half an hour after midday in a local restaurant on route.

At half past one in the afternoon, we will go for a drive uphill towards Baan Muang Kong, from which we will begin a two-hour trek to arrive at Lahu Hill Tribe Village.
Have our dinner ready at 6 pm and enjoy the night at Lahu village in Baan Huay Ngu.

Have a wonderful night at a homestay at Lahu Village.

Day 2

Lahu Village - Waterfall - Lisu Village

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

At half past eight this morning, we will begin our 6-hour trek through the jungle. Our lunch will take place at a little waterfall on route.

After lunchtime, our journey continues towards a village called Lisu, where we will enjoy our dinner tonight and also spend the night there.

Have a wonderful night at a homestay at Lisu Village in Baan Huay Din Dum.

Day 3

Lisu hill Tribe Village - Elephant Ride - Karen Village

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy your breakfast this morning at the village as it starts at 8 am. One hour later, have some preparation for today’s challenge: a 4-or-5-hour trek up and down the mountain path.

During lunchtime, you will have a chance to try the taste of a jungle-styled meal prepared by the guide and his assistant along the trekking path.

At 3 pm in the afternoon, take some rest and try travelling on the back of an elephant (a jumbo ride instead of a jet one). The ride will last for about 45 minutes, following the jungle path to Karen hill tribe village in Baan Pang Kao lam, where we will spend our second night. We will reach the destination at about half past four and then we will keep our gears at the wooden cabin, which is also the place our team will stay at. Enjoy the time at your disposal or emerge yourself in a number of interesting activities, like swimming, fishing, strolling around the village, playing football with kids or assisting the guide to cook.

Our dinner will be served at 7 pm. This evening will be for sharing our thoughts and stories, as well as taking part in games and music.
Have a wonderful night at a homestay at Karen Village.

Day 4

Karen Hill Tribe Village - Bamboo Rafting - Chiang Mai

Transfer:

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Enjoy the breakfast at 8 o’clock this morning at the village. One hour later, we will say our farewells and leave the village.

We will have lunch at 1 pm in the afternoon at a local restaurant called Shan (the fee has already been covered)

At half past two, we will return to Chiang Mai on a local truck.

Trip Notes

1. Best Time to Visit Thailand: Nov – Feb

Thailand has a warm tropical climate, so you can count on warm to hot weather throughout the year but there are many great places that you can visit all year.

Peak season is generally during December to January for everywhere in Thailand but the best time to visit Thailand is actually from November to February which the weather is cool, clear sky and no rain. During this season the weather in the northern regions is chilly at night, but the rest of the country stays a balmy 30°C even in the winter.

March is starting for the hot season but April to May are the hottest and driest months but the southern islands would be the good place to visit.

May to October is the low season and also the cheapest time to travel because the hotel price will be cheaper than other seasons but except some islands like Koh Tao or Koh Samui for example July and August, these periods, hotels are expensive.

2. Thailand Visa Requirements:

Many nationalities, including citizens of Australia, Canada, South Africa, the US and most European countries do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days. A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, return ticket or onward travel arrangement needs to be presented upon request at your arrival in Thailand. These requirements are subject to change. Please check with the embassy or consulate in your home country before departure.

3. Car Procedure

Group Types of Car
1 - 5 pax 9-seater car
5 - 9 pax Two 9 - seater cars

"The tour with APT was fantastic. The coordinator greeted us with flowers, cared about our trip, and particular diets, and inquired if we were satisfied with everything. The service was above and beyond our expectations. Our organizer surprised us at the end by giving us tiny gifts. Thank you so much! "
