You have plenty of time today to explore Vientiane's hidden beauty by visiting a variety of ancient monuments, including Vat PhraKeo, one of the city's most spectacular and intriguing temples, Vat Sisaket, which has gorgeous architecture, Pha That Luang, the holiest site for Laotians, and Patuxay, the city's most recognizable landmark and a great place from which to take in the city's panorama. In the afternoon, go to the renowned Buddha Park, which has hundreds of Buddha statues and a 40m-long Buddha image. Take your time to explore its unique statues with different sizes and shapes of humans, Godheads, and animals.
We will transfer you to the EMU train for your Vang Vieng C84 departure at 14:30 – 15:31. Arriving at VangVieng EMU Train Station, we drive to your hotel in VangVieng. Check in at the hotel and relax.

The exciting biking trip exploring Vang Vieng nature is the interesting activity of Active Travel. We will arrive in several stunning caves. One of them is the renowned and blessed "Cave of the Golden Crab" - Tham Phou Kham. Inside, the cave is astounding with secret corridors full of stalagmites and stalactites, deep wells, and up-to-80-meter-high chimneys.
The way along the Houay San stream is quite narrow, but the scene is quite lovely. We follow the path to Pha Deng, which is also known as the "red cliff." If the weather is on your side, then it will save your energy from carrying the bike through muddy patches. The first village on the banks of the Nam Khouang River is now revealed – Phonxay Village. From then on, the dirt road that parallels the Nam Khouang River will be easier and smoother. We can see the road that leads to Nam Song Bridge as we approach the intersection in Ban Nathong Tai.
Then, we return to Vang Vieng. You can enjoy cold drinks under the glorious sunset to celebrate our biking journey. (Drink at your own arrangement.)

This morning, we will transfer you to Vang Vieng EMU Train Station to take a short train to Luang Prabang by C82 departure at 09:51 - 10:53. Arriving at Luang Prabang EMU Train Station, we continue the trip, exploring the city.
We then board an upstream cruise on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. We'll stop at the Pak Ou Caves, two large caverns that serve as shrines and are home to hundreds of Buddha statues. Throughout the day, we'll also stop in a few villages, such as Ban Xanghai, where residents make rice wine, and Ban XangKhong, where people make Saa paper, a famous product of Laos. Overnight at a hotel in Luang Prabang.

Today, we enjoy a short-guided tour of the city's oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the impressive “tree of life” mosaic set in colored glass. We then visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture throughout the ages. Asia Private Travels allows you to have free time to stroll into town and explore the shopping areas. We then drive to visit the beautiful Khuangsi Waterfalls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths.
Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon then get on board an upstream cruise on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. From there, we climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as capture a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. Then we go to the night market, where you will find a great collection of handmade textiles. Overnight at a hotel in Luang Prabang.

Early morning, your minivan with chauffeur and guide will pick you up at your hotel. NongKhiaw, where a boat awaits you to take you up to Muang Ngoi, a small fisherman village surrounded by magnificent landscapes.
En route, you will be introduced to Laos' weaving villages, which work with silk and cotton: Ban Xiang Khong, Ban Xieng Lek, and Ban Nagnane, three traditional handicraft villages.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, you cruise upstream the Nam Ou River. Stop on the way to Ban Houy Hoi Village, where you can contact local people to learn about their daily lives. Continue your cruise to Muang Ngoy for a visit to the local village. Then cruise back to Nong Khiaw and transfer back to Luang Prabang.
Arrive in Luang Prabang and check in a hotel for rest.
