Modern, elegant resort. Dozens of villas drowning in lush natural vegetation on a hillside overlooking a pretty semi-private beach (fifteen minutes to walk from end to end). Design, furnishings and interior decor of accommodations is top quality. Service provided by enthusiastic, young staff is outstanding. You almost get tired answering their constant friendly greetings, Resort is composed of two parts separated by the road - the lower one near the beach and the upper one high on the hillside with gorgeous panoramic views of the sea. Both have separate lobbies, restaurants and reception desks but all facilities can be accessed by all. Food in restaurants is good, not cheap, but not outrageously priced.

This was our second visit to the resort and was excellent in every way. The breakfasts catered for all tastes and the choice of restaurants for other meals was superb. The view form our hillside villa was absolutely stunning and never tired of sitting on the veranda watching the wildlife. Above all, the staff made the experience extra special. Without exception, they were very welcoming and helpful in every way.

The most amazing resort and vacation ever! Everything was above our expectations! Amazing breakfast buffet and the room was great right next to the beach! Every single meal here was great, we loved the food and service at the restaurant next to the beach Rak Talay. And had a very romantic dinner at the Seven Seas Restaurant. We made reservations in advance 2 days to get the best tables. The facilities are great, nice pools and gym! Everyone is so very very nice and helpful, makes you feel really special. We also went on a boat trip snorkeling and BBQ on the boat organized by Pimalai and everything was perfect and our guides were great! On the beach and pools they are always bringing free cold water to the guests and sometimes some fresh fruit. We had the most amazing time and we are already dreaming when we can come back!

 That was a miraculous experience and the highlight of our holiday in Thailand. It is a luxury hotel obviously, but the remote location and the environment, natural surroundings, give an a special feeling to the place. So it is definitely worth to visit to Ko Lanta even if you have only 3 days as we had. It would be a great time anyway but the surprises me and my partner with an upgrade. So finally we got a private pool villa on the top of the hill (due to some overbooking). OMG It was the best experience in my life. Everybody likes to get gifts but it was an unexpected one. Sophisticated interior, huge rooms, canopy bed, private infinity pool with a sun deck and with an amazing view and so on. Cleaning lady came 2 times a day and did the washing up if it was needed, prepared the bed after breakfast and for the night at the end of the day. Also, they provided cute home baked cookies in the room, which was a very nice gesture and you felt at home immediately. They were pampering you in every way, starting from the complimentary transfer from the airport, which itself an experience. Luxury van picks you up at the airport, private speedboat brings to the pier of the hotel. No rush, no sweat, all the staff were calm and polite and provide you the time to catch the moment. For the guests every moment is new and like an experience especially if she is from Europe. Thai atmosphere is fantastic and this hotel is able to give you it but on a higher level. All the facilities were great, restaurant is nice. They gave you everything but somehow we just loved better other restaurants' cuisine (close the hotel at the beach.) You need a good condition if you would like to go on foot up to the hill to the villas (which are in the side of the hill) and back to the beach, but thank goodness, they provide golf car duty just by a phone call. Actually we didn't tried the big pools, because we had a great time at our smaller but private one.

 Fantastic resort at the southern tip of Koh Lanta, on a quiet beach. The pool suite was great, large rooms and a good size private dipping pool. The breakfast was absolute fantastic, egg Benedict, Italian prosecco and all you can ask for. Spendid service, starting from the arrival by private car/boat (shared with other guests).

WOOOOW - Where to start. Incredible. Pictures really don’t do justice, the resort is breathtaking and way bigger (and even more beautiful) than we expected. In the middle of the nature on a cliff just above the beach, the environment is just magical. The thai restaurant on the beach is very relaxing, the western & sea food restaurant on the hill gives you a view you will remember. Excellent service with a wonderful staff (thank you Ambuss for the great private dinner on the beach!) the food... everything surpassed our expectations. You can really feel the thai touch and feel that they actually want you to spend the best time here. The 1 bedroom villa was lovely, nice space, very nice decoration, private pool with an AMAZING VIEW! We did several 5* hotels during our holidays in Thailand but the Pimalaï was clearly the highlight of our holidays (maybe the best resort I ever did) allowing us to disconnect, I can only recommend to go for it!

This is hands down the best place that I have ever stayed. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was great and the breakfast had so many options that you would never get bored. (the eggs Pimalai being my personal favourite). The Rice & Spice Thai restaurant served the best Thai food I have eaten and although slightly more expensive than the average Thailand restaurant it was very much worth it and still under £10 for a main course. The facilities were first rate and they even gave us a free speed boat ride and taxi to the airport after our stay. I cannot recommend this place enough and if this hotel was in Europe, you could expect to pay at least 3 x more for the stay. Koh Lanta is a beautiful island and Pimalai is an amazing resort that really compliments the surrounding beauty.

Everything from the minute we checked in was exceptional, we were very luck and they had upgraded us to a one bedroom bungalow with was amazing , every si gleaming member of staff make this hotel what it is an exceptional 5star residence. We will definitely be returning.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED everything at Pimalai! We were amazed by the Resort and everything it has to offer. It all starts with the complimentary pick-up service, which was arranged so so well. Than you will receive a traditional Thai flowernecklace and a welcoming drink and than the staff will lead you to your room, which in our experience, was amazing. Breakfast was amazing with some really good cappuccino's and some fresh smoked salmon, which is not very common in Asian countries, so that was a bonus for me!! Having some lunch at the beach is really really recommended, because the views are amazing and the food blows you away! The staff at Pimalai is so so nice and we always felt welcome and appreciated. The pool views are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and a day at the pool is actually A TREAT. We are so fond of Pimalai that we are actually planning on coming back really soon, also to adopt a kitty at Lanta Animal Welfare, which is 9 km away from the resort. WELL DONE PIMALAI AND THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR OUR PERFECT STAY.
