Layana Resort & Spa

Went on Oct and it was perfect! quite place with not too many tourists, almost private beach. The staff was generous and great at every single thing, the room and the hotel were perfectly clean. Food was great and on the beach, THE perfect breakfast!! The private tour to the mangroves with the guide Nan was amazing and not to expensive, we highly recommend. The best time we had in Thailand.

This hotel is an amazing getaway and we could not recommend it more.   Staff was exceptional, beautiful location. It had everything we needed.

The location & setting for the hotel were absolutely beautiful, a very serene & luscious green space on a slight incline looking out to the beach & sea - simply stunning! This is a peaceful & classy resort, no doubt owing to the lack of large groups or children, and the pools & loungers never felt too busy or crowded, despite the hotel being at full capacity during out Xmas stay. The staff are attentive & very friendly, looking after you all day bringing iced water, cool towels etc. They do all they can to ensure you are comfortable & make you feel like royalty. The breakfast is excellent & the restaurant food very good too, especially the Thai dishes. The beach is spotlessly clean & the sea very calm - you can paddle board (complimentary) & go on kayak excursions. The complimentary morning yoga was fantastic & the gym well equipped & spacious for the size of the hotel. The other good thing is if you do want to eat or drink elsewhere there are many many options along the beach within walking distance.

The special attention to details is remarkable. making sure we can focus on relaxation and be able to enjoy everything the resort has to offer. it has started even before we arrived, when we had some trouble with our flight from Bangkok so instead of arriving at 14:20, we arrived 4 hours later. we still got a personal transfer with a smooth ride to the resort. The free shuttle from the Krabi airport to the resort has free water and Wi-Fi (a 2 hours drive). It is peaceful and quiet everywhere. The hotel has a less than 60 rooms, limiting the age to 18+. Without large groups, without kids and without big parties, a guest can expect to a very low volume level all day long. The only positive exception is the live music at the bar, with rock / pop music, high quality sound during the evening time, a few times a week. The resort enforces a strict no-smoking policy which makes sure that even outside visitors on the beach won’t cause noise and air will remain clean. the Wi-Fi stability and bandwidth is fantastic (especially the great upload speed). The breakfast is rich, accurate and fresh. The coffee is outstanding (a double-shot cappuccino or an iced americano with some milk on the side), the eggs, the vegetables (it stays fresh in the fridge), the corn bread and the pastries are quite unique. The restaurant and the bar are beautiful. The service there is great. A meal at the restaurant and some live music with a drink at the bar – a perfect evening. The gym is terrific. The gym staff are really attentive. the yoga / stretching lessons are great. The sea gear is fantastic. The special attention we got, with house keeping twice a day, with water re-fill all day long and cool towels at the pool or on the beach. Special fruit to room every afternoon. The management staff knew everything about each and every request we made. We didn’t need to ask anything twice. The rooms are very spacious, with great A/C, fans and two mini-bars.

We stayed in one of the ocean villas for 6 nights at the beginning of January. Our experience was simply superb from the moment we arrived. Truly one of the most amazing places we have stayed at – the attention to detail across everything from service, to design, to food and drinks, the beautiful pools and the spa, was exceptional. Added to that, the excursions were organised down to the last detail, making them absolutely memorable and fuss-free. If you're looking for a place that anticipates your every need, without every being overbearing, this is it. If you're prepared to spring to for it, arriving by boat is definitely worth the experience!

They have three pools, all very good with warm water and beautifully decorated. The spa facilities are superb, some of the best massages we've had. The rooms are good, staff is very attentive. They took us to the airport for free and carried our bags all the way to the check in desk. Food is good.

All the food we had at Layana was top drawer and there was a great variety to choose from. Overall the hotel was wonderful and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff team were always helpful, provided
