I have been coming to Thailand for the past 14 years or so, and have stayed in Samui many times. It was my first time staying in Bo Phut, so can't compare to other resorts there, but still, I have to say Peace Resort may very well be the nicest resort I have stayed in so far visiting Thailand.
The room (Deluxe Bungalow) was beautifully furnished, very modern looking, with lots of space. They have recently renovated the rooms and it shows. It really was one of the nicest rooms I've been to in all of Thailand. The bungalow is located in a lush and beautifully maintained garden, and we enjoyed sitting in the balcony surrounded by green and birds chirping so much, we hardly ever wanted to leave.
The resort has a very nice swimming pool and private beach. You really only have to walk 1 minute from your room to get to the beach, and our bungalow was one of the furthest bungalows so..it's all very close. The resort is also quite close to famous Fisherman's Village (I'd say 10-15 min walking). Monday, Wednesday and Friday is when the night market operates, and the street food in the market is really an awesome experience.
Aside from the Fisherman's Village (which is 10-15 min walk or so), you also have plenty of massage places, cafes, restaurants and FamilyMart near by. So you never really have to walk for more than a couple of minutes if you want a massage, grab something to eat, or buy stuff you'd need at a FamilyMart.
Aside from all of that, the staff was great, everyone we came in contact with was super nice. and breakfast was delicious as well.
We were a young couple in our mid 30's. we were a bit concerned the resort would be too family oriented, and that the pool would be noisy or unpleasant. While we did meet some young families, the resort was always peaceful and very quiet.
Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at the resort and would definitely return :)
