Our guide and driver will pick you up from your Mandalay hotel. Then start your morning cylcing trip in Mandalay with a short drive to the Mandalay Jetty. From there, you will have a chance to join a Myanmar river cruise, which will transfer you across the Irrawaddy River to Mingun. It lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, following the upstream current of the river. The return trip back to Mandalay is faster because of the downstream.
Arriving in Mingun, your first stop will be the Mingun Pagoda (Mingun Paya) of the day tour, a construction initiated by King Bodawpaya using brick. Your guide will explain the reasons behind its unfinished state, despite the potential of being one of the largest pagodas in the world. Due to numerous earthquakes, the structure was damaged, and only a small part remains. To come to the Hsinbyume Pagoda, you have to walk through the village. It attracts many tourists, so don't miss out on your travel in Myanmar!
Before your trip finishes and return to Mandalay, you will have the opportunity to observe the Mingun Bell. With 90 tons of weight, this bell stands as the second-largest bell in the world and brings significance to religious life in Myanmar.
The private tour comes to an end. Asia Private Travels goodbye to you.
