Our expert guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel, it takes one hour (38km from Mandalay) to the small countryside town of Paleik. Along the route, you can admire the sight of traditional villages and tranquil landscapes.
When we arrive at the Paleik temple, you will be super surprised because of the special Buddha figure surrounded by snakes, especially its home of pythons. The locals participate in a daily ritual of cleansing the Buddha statue and pythons to receive luck and good omens, as Buddhist beliefs. This is a unique tradition that you should experience in Burma travel.
