At 8:00 AM, Asia Private Travels guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Old Bagan's crowded Nyaung U Market and a nearby village to see people's lives in the morning.
Explore the nearby Shwezigon Pagoda, which is beautiful and has a gold leaf on it, and also learn about Burmese Buddhist customs.
Then you will continue your Myanmar travels to the Htilominlo Temple. This architecture is 46 meters tall, has three stories, and is made of red brick. It's also known for the comprehensive plaster moldings that decorate it. Four Buddhas, one facing each direction, are on the first floor of the temple.
The next stop of this short tour is Ananda Temple. On the way, you stop on the Bagan plains to look at some of the temples nearby. The layout of the temple is in the shape of a cross, with several terraces leading up to a small pagoda at the top that is covered by an umbrella called hti. This is the name of the umbrella, or top ornament that is on almost every pagoda in Myanmar.
At the end of the day, we go to the Shwesandaw Pagoda, which is the second-tallest pagoda in Bagan. The pagoda is made up of five terraces and a cylinder-shaped stupa with a jeweled umbrella on top.
On this Bagan Tour, a sunset boat ride on the Irrawaddy River is optional and costs 18 USD per boat for up to 5 people. Cocktails are not included.
With this slow cruise on the Irrawaddy River at sunset, you can see Bagan from a different perspective. Enjoy the beautiful Bagan plain as the sun slowly sets on the horizon and the wind blows through.
In the afternoon, you'll move back to your hotel.
