Finish your breakfast; we head forward to the village that lies in the North-western Cambodia – Angkor Ban. This village would be an opportunity for those who love to discover the authentic lifestyle and customs that are unchanged through time, pass down to generations of the residents here. Near the village, there is a local school where we can meet the local kids and join them in the class.
In the afternoon, on a cyclo, we sightsee the city of Phnom Penh – where is the meeting point of the ancient and modern era. At the top of the list, Royal Palace is the first destination. Before that, enjoy the ride along the river, which is peaceful with morning atmosphere and Cambodian daily routines.
As we arrive at the construction, take the time strolling around and admire the art of work of people from a century ago. At Throne Hall and Moonlight Pavilion, the structure is spectacular to take a photo. Coming up next, we will be at the stupas and spirit houses. If time permits, you can view other parts that are attractive as well. Next, we leave for the well-known Silver Pagoda, which preserves an Emerald Buddha, a Maitreya Buddha, and 900 diamonds. For the precious treasure, the pagoda has well preserved; the pagoda is a huge tourist attraction in Phnom Penh.
Later on, on a cyclo, we will travel to the National Museum. If you are interested in the history and cultures of Cambodia, this place will deliver an amount of knowledge that you might not see and hear at other places. Greatest of all is the collection of the Angkorian artifacts. There is more to see, especially the artifact for the Angkor Archaeological area in Siem Reap. Then, we head back to the ship or have lunch in a local restaurant. After that, we spend our visit to the local markets and boutiques.
Return to the ship to enjoy many interesting activiites and a delicious dinner.
