Le Bokor Palace

Le Bokor Palace put a lot of effort into recreating the atmosphere of French colonialism in 1920 when it opened for the first time. From the beautiful terrace, you have a view of the mountain top on the coasts of Cambodia and Vietnam. Lovely staff, top notch food (try the Cr pes desert) and a short trip to the beach, Kampot and crab market in Kep. Definitely recommended for any mean traveler who wants to visit the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand

I love buildings with rich history and beingable to stay in some of them is a privilege and honour to me. Thus I was really happy when I found Le Bokor Palace Hotel in Kampot, a hotel that was refurnished from its original 1925 splendour. Situated right on top of Mount Bokor, it exudes grandeur, luxury and a sense of timelessness and exclusivity. While dining in the high ceiling restaurant or walking on the elegantly restored floor tiles, you feel that you have been transported back in time when the French and the Cambodian elites came here to escape the heat. There are no air-conditioning as the weather is surprisingly cool at around 20 to 22 degree celsius. The hotel staff were enthusiastic and warmth, from the moment we arrived, to preparing the outdoor jacuzzi (we wanted to soak after dinner) to escorting us every time we were out of the room. In fact, the hotel staff who greeted us and checked us in came back to work on the day to personally check us out even though it was his day-off. Such great service

A very fascinating hotel with an interesting history. The service level here is exemplary, although at times, communication may be an issue. They try to make every visitor feel like their VIP guest. All your needs are personally attended to. There’s a free guided tour around the hotel to understand its history better. Overall, I enjoyed my brief stay there tremendously. There are lots of places to explore near the surrounding area. Might be a good idea to read up about the history of the Bokor Mountain before heading there

It good view of mountain with nice sunset in this period The well temperatures in hot season in Cambodia with 24c in day time and 20c in night time. Good services with delicious food. Feel so relax and enjoy nice view from Bokor Mountain

Very quite and peaceful place. Excellent service and food. The view is spectacular and second to none. We were here at the beginning of wet season and the weather changes are an experience of its own! You’re literally in heaven being suddenly in the middle of a cloud. The sister hotel, which is a 3 minute drive (free transfer) or 20 minute walk away, offers a different set of food, spa, swimming pool, bar, etc. The hotel driver took us around on a mountain sightseeing trip. Other than that is not too much to do up there, but would still highly recommend staying there at least one to three nights. Thanks to all the friendly staff and looking forward to coming back

Very peaceful, lovely and charming place. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Excellent food and very comfortable bedrooms. Magnificent view of the mountain and great Jacuzzi. Excellent location, far away from the noise. The temperature is colder, and I was lucky enough to witness an eclipse and to see the cloud covering the mountains for the first time. That was a dream come through. The hotel driver took me to a breath taking Bokor Tour that I would recommend to anybody staying a the hotel. I spent one of the best holidays of my life at Le Bokor and I thank all the staff and the manager who made this possible
