The colonial note on the buildings in Mawlaik is significantly more present as it was the administrative capital of the Bristish. Take a tour through some of the most important sites of the town in the history such as the former office of Bombay-Burma Trading Company, Post Office, former British Administrative Buildings, British Commissioner House and Mawlaik Golf Course. The tour ends with a short match of golf. Then we return back on board for lunch. If time allows, we can make a stop at the Kyi Taung Oo village where situated one of the oldest teak monasteries and finally to the hill top to get a vantage point.

ANAWRAHTA CRUISE POLICY

1. Alteration of schedule and cruise itinerary

Though every effort will be made to ensure that the published itinerary is followed as closely as possible, given uncertain river and other local conditions, all schedules and itineraries may be subject to alterations and delays at short notice.

2. Deposit

2.1. For booking with less than 05 cabins

If a booking is made more than 70 days prior departure date, a 30% deposit must be made at the time of booking. A balance must be made at least 70 days before departure.

If a booking is made less than 70 days, full fare payment must be made within 48 hours.

2.2. For booking from 05 cabins and more

Please contact our sales team for group rates (charters, group, and series). Different inclusions may apply for GIT bookings.

3. Cancellation by us

In the event that we are unable to provide cruise services to passengers with confirmed bookings or departures where occupancy is less than 5 cabins, Anawrahta Cruise reserves the right to cancel the journey giving all passengers with confirmed bookings 30 days prior notice of this intention. An alternative cruise vessel (similar itinerary and ship category) or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. Any surcharges or difference in cruise prices will be born or reimbursed by Anawrahta Cruise. If this alternative date or the alternative vessel is not acceptable to the passenger any down payments made for the canceled cruise will be refunded. In the event that a passenger has canceled and paid cancellation fees and Anawrahta Cruise subsequently cancels that departure then any cancellation fees (and down payment) will be refunded in full on the request of the passenger.

4. Cancellation by Customer

If you want to cancel your booking, you must inform us via fax or email. E-mail cancellation or booking amendments are only effective once re-confirmed by us. The followings cancellation charges will be applied:

4.1. For booking with less than 05 cabins

Cancellations made 185 days or more before departure: 5% charge of the total price

Cancellations made 184 to 70 days prior to departure: 20% charge of the total price

Cancellations made 69 to 35 days prior to departure: 55% charge of the total price

Cancellations made less than 35 days prior to departure or no show: 100% charge of the total price

4.2. For booking from 05 cabins and more

Cancellations will be applied according to the condition of a group booking. Please contact our sales team for further information.

*In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.

5.  Child & Third Person Policy

Anawrahta Cruise allows children above 5 years old on board (contact us for special permission for infants below 5 years old).

a) Maximum one child between 5 and 12 years old per cabin sharing bed with parents

b) From 5 to 12 years old special child rate applies: 

- Child share existing bedding pays 25% of the net rate per person (double occupancy).

- Child sleeps on extra bed pays 30% of the net rate per person (double occupancy).

c) Above 12 years old adult rate applies and has to occupy extra bed if available and pay 70% of the net rate per person (double occupancy). Extra bed available (all cabin types).

d) Maximum three passengers per cabin are allowed

NOTE: Children are only allowed on board in accompanying by an adult. Anawrahta Cruise is not responsible for the safety on board of the children. Parents are fully reliable for their children and have to supervise and police their children at all times.

6. Insurance

We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. In this case, guests will be reimbursed the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. Anawrahta Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.

7. Dietary needs

For travelers with special dietary needs, they should contact us at least 30 days prior to embarkation. The cruise liner will make the utmost effort to provide special dietary needs and requests basing on the product’s availability.

8. Travelers’ responsibilities

All the travelers taking the cruise should take responsibilities towards their fellow passengers and the crew of the ship. Travelers should review the conditions of the trip itinerary and have a proper social behavior with fellow passengers and crew members. They should observe all the safety requirements on board and on excursions.
