5 Day Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

Have a lovely breakfast at the hotel to have another energetic day in Phnom Penh. 

We start our morning at the National Museum where put on a display of more than 14,000 items and artifacts dating back from the Khmer Empire representing Khmer’s art as well as mighty history. 

Just a short walk from the National Museum lies our next site to visit - the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda right next to it. Finish your morning with a stroll around the Russian market where you can find lots of souvenirs, woodcarvings, musical instruments and so on.

Take a break at noon for lunch then we will continue our day at Tuol Sleng Museum - also known as S21 Prison - where used to be a school before the Pol Pot army turned it into a prison holding and torturing prisoners. Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum marks dark days of Cambodia history.  

Spend another night at the hotel in Phnom Penh.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel then we will take our leave to the airport to board the flight to Siem Reap. 

Upon your arrival, our Asia Private Travels driver and guide will lead you to the hotel in Siem Reap for a check-in procedure and leave your luggage in the hotel room. 

Take a rest for a while then we will start our journey in the land of Siem Reap - a sanctuary for Angkor Temples.

We make our first stop at Ta Prohm temple where the most part of it is covered by huge roots of thousands year old trees. Ta Prohm temple was also the set of the famous action movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider featured by Angelina Jolie. 

We head back to the hotel for freshening up after a long traveling day.

We continue to explore the local life of the city Siem Reap through rough roads, villages, and the city’s heritage. The most amazing activity for today is an excursion in the Angkor Complex where you can witness the magnificence of an enormous work of art of the Cambodian.

Angkor Thom is our starting point, from here, you’ll be walking through hundreds more of ruined structures yet mesmerizing. The scene gets even better when you reach Bayon temple - an exquisitely decorated 54 towers in Khmer style.

Lying closely to Bayon temple, you will also have a chance to discover remarkable Angkor structure at Baphuon temple, The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Last but not least, Angkor Wat will end our day with an awe-inspiring charm of a gigantic religious building with a fusion of symmetry and symbolism. 

After a long exhausting walking day, reward yourself with a refreshing night at the hotel’s facilities and enjoy a good night's sleep.
