Day 1

Bangkok Arrival

As soon as you arrive, our local, English-speaking guide of Asia Private Travels will meet you up at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport and give you a friendly welcome. You will then be transferred to your hotel in central Bangkok on a comfortable means of transport. Afterwards, complete the check-in procedure at your hotel before making the most out of your leisure time to recover from a long flight.

Day 2

Bangkok City Tour

Our today’s Honeymoon excursion will take you around Bangkok, which is also known with the name “the city of golden temples”.

Start with a visit to the Grand Palace, which consists of 3 major sections: Royal Palace, Royal Office and pagodas (Wat) constructed in the 70s of the 18th century. These days, this place is where the majority of crucial national celebrations are held. Wat Phra Kaew is well-known both for its distinctive charm of Thailand Buddhism construction style and the holy Buddha statue which is made of jade.

From the Grand Palace, it is quite close to reach Wat Pho, known as the oldest and largest pagoda in the city where it places over a thousand Buddha statues as well as a giant sit-back Buddha golden statue.

Our journey continues with a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River. This offers us a good view over the life of the local living nearby. Along the way, we can also drop by Wat Arun, which is recognized as the most stunning pagoda in the capital city of Bangkok both for its riverside position and its unique architectural features found nowhere else.

Then, we will make for Wat Traimit – our today’s final site. This spot makes a name for its charming distinction, its ancient spectacle and for the large Buddha statue made in gold as well. Back to your hotel and make the most out of your leisure time to wander around Bangkok as night falls.

Day 3

Bangkok – Kanchanaburi

Having fulfilled our stomach during breakfast time, we will head towards Kanchanaburi to have our first visit today at Erawan Waterfall, which is recognized as the most breath - taking among others in the central area of Thailand.

This waterfall has its name originate from the mythical white elephant species which have three heads inhabiting in the Himavarna forest. It will take us around one hour driving to reach Wang Pho Elephant Camp, where you can enjoy the chance to try travelling on the back of an elephant. Finish check in procedure in the hotel in Kanchanaburi before spending the time at your leisure.

Day 4

Kanchanaburi – Nakhon Pathom - Samut Songkhram

Leave your bed and fulfil your stomach with a breakfast served by the hotel staff in preparation for our visits to historical spots today. We will start with Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, in which, during the time the Burma Railway was built, nearly 7.000 people dying of Japanese immurement were buried.

Our next destination is JEATH War Museum, where we will achieve some insight into the Death Railway constructed during the 1942 - 1943 period. Inside the museum are collections of photos and illustrations which present the life of war prisoners during such inhumane periods.

Afterwards, we will embark on a boat trip along the River Kwai onto the Kwai River Bridge. This bridge is famous worldwide due to its presence in many movies and prints, and it is still in use these days.

Then, we will head towards Nakhon Pathom and go for the enjoyable ambience in a large park named Suan Sampran. This park is located in the heart of the appealing countryside landscape in the Nakhon Chaisri Riverbank. Among a number of spots there, Thai Village is the place where you can participate in various activities and performances like Thai boxing and elephant display, to name but a few.

You will then be taken to Samut Songkhram for check - in at a local hotel and spend the time at your leisure.

Day 5

Samut Songkhram

As the morning starts, enjoy your breakfast and then we will have a stroll around Meaklong Railway Market, which is a trading place for local residents, situated along the trail. Every time there is a train approaching, people there hurriedly grasp their goods, leaving empty stalls behind before putting the goods on display again once the train has gone by.

Your journey with Asia Private Travels keeps on towards Damnoen Saduak Floating market, where little boats gather to sell fruits and vegetables, to name but a few.

During the afternoon hours, we will go for a bicycle tour to arrive at another floating market called Amphawa. This one is quite distinctive in the way that its canoes are attached to the sides of the canal. We will embark on a canoe trip around places of interest including a time - honored little temple. Return to your hotel on bicycle and take your leisure time to stroll around Samut Songkhram as night falls.

Samut Songkhram – Bangkok – Flight to Koh Samui

1. Best Time to Visit Thailand: Nov – Feb

Thailand has a warm tropical climate, so you can count on warm to hot weather throughout the year but there are many great places that you can visit all year.

Peak season is generally during December to January for everywhere in Thailand but the best time to visit Thailand is actually from November to February which the weather is cool, clear sky and no rain. During this season the weather in the northern regions is chilly at night, but the rest of the country stays a balmy 30°C even in the winter.

March is starting for the hot season but April to May are the hottest and driest months but the southern islands would be the good place to visit.

May to October is the low season and also the cheapest time to travel because the hotel price will be cheaper than other seasons but except some islands like Koh Tao or Koh Samui for example July and August, these periods, hotels are expensive.

2. Thailand Visa Requirements:

Many nationalities, including citizens of Australia, Canada, South Africa, the US and most European countries do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days. A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, return ticket or onward travel arrangement needs to be presented upon request at your arrival in Thailand. These requirements are subject to change. Please check with the embassy or consulate in your home country before departure.

  • 0 - 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied) .
  • 2 - 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied.
  • 5 - 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied.
  • From 12 years and older: 100% of the regular fare will be applied.

During Peak Season and Special Occasions, Surcharges may be Added to the Price:

  • Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depending on hotels or resorts you stay.
  • Peak season during 20 Dec 2020 – 10 Jan 2021, Songkran Festival, Loy Kratong Festival, Chinese New Year: Extra fee required.
