Welcome to Phnom Penh with Asia Private Travels. As soon as you land at the airport, our local guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. You are free to use the room from 2:00pm. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Meals at your expense. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Pay a visit the Royal Palace, which is a symbol of Phnom Penh Capital. It was erected in 1866 by King Norodom, including distinct and separate structures grouped together in one enclosure that created a significant collection of Khmer art. Here, you’ll also be captivated by the Silver Pagoda where is home to a 90kg - golden Buddha encrusted with 9584 diamonds as well as a 17th century Buddha image decorated with emeralds and Baccarat crystal.
After that, continue to move to the south of the city where to witness another stage of Cambodian history - the regime of the Khmer Rouge. Firstly, we visit Tuol Sleng, known as the genocide museum, which was once a secondary school then turned into a detention centre. Thousands of prisoners were tortured and killed here.
Next, we proceed to the Killing Fields, Choeung Ek - the burial site of the victims of Tuol Sleng.
On our way back to the city, if time permits, we will visit the Russian Markets (or Toul Tum Poung). You’ll find many kinds of goods here ranging from fabrics, jewels, jewellery, crockery to handicraft, etc.

+ You will have an on - site guide at Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Our guide is not allowed to work here.
+ The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are sometimes closed for special ceremonies. We will switch the sightseeing tour to another well - known spot.
+ Russian Market is closed on the country’s holidays.
It takes about 6 hours (340km) to drive to Kratie via the town of Kampong Cham. As soon as you arrive in Kratie, we will pay a visit to this small town and the old houses lying on the banks of the Mekong river
Lunch at a indigenous restaurant. Let's continue your Active Travel by hopping on the ferry and cross the Mekong to set foot in the Koh Trong island. It is a completely separate area which is far from the hectic pace of life featuring the gorgeous white sand banks.
After check in your lodge, you can stroll around the area to explore the tranquility, rustic lifestyle, hospitable locals, diligent fishermen, or the lush orchards. You can also find it really fascinating when taking an ox cart riding.
Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Notice: Kratie is an underdeveloped tourist town, so the quality of the restaurants, hotels and general services just is at basic standard.
Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today, we will explore Koh Trong - a small lovely island on the Mekong River, surrounded by fine sandy beaches (dry season only). Travel on a ferry from Kratie town and embark on a fascinating trip here. Discover the traditions and customs of the locals in Koh Trong by a cycling tour. You have a chance to not only experience the locals lifestyle, but also explore the mesmerizing beauty of the island.
Our itinerary includes several attractive points: a Vietnamese floating village, vegetable gardens, local farm work, Khmer pagodas, fish farms, traditional Khmer stilt houses, orchards, etc.
Note: There are many options for you to choose to explore the island. You may ride a bike or visit the island on foot or even on an ox/horse cart.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. We sail back to the mainland to continue our journey to Phnom Sambok - a hilltop pagoda. The pristine and tranquil scenery of the Mekong River and the surrounding countryside appear magnificently in front of your own eyes after climbing 300 steps to the summit. This is the highlight point in the itinerary of Asia Private Travels.
We keep on our journey to Kampi. This is a popular place to observe the lovely Irrawaddy dolphins - an endangered species.
Next, have another 4-hour drive to the capital of Ratanakiri province - Ban Lung aka ‘red town’ for having a great amount of laterite. Settle in a beautiful room at Terre Rouge (Red Earth) Lodge situated in the middle of a beautiful garden.
Enjoy lunch en route. Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today, we will have a drive northwards to Veun Sai Town (around 40 km). On the way, you can admire the lovely dirt roads surrounded by dense forest as well as the villages of Tampou minority with typical houses. Then, we will hop on a wooden boat after about 1 hour drive to sail up the Se San river to Koah Peak village. En - route, let your hair down and immerse yourself in the wonderful natural landscapes and rustic scenes of rural life.
As soon as arrive, we will stroll around the village of Katcha ethnicity and gain deeper insights into many spiritual and conventional values through its burial ground with many statues which are believed as guardians after their death.
Join in a picnic lunch. After that, cruise back to Veun Sai and drive to Ban Lung. Have your dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Breakfast will be served at the hotel before we move to another fascinating destination - Kampong Cham. It takes us about 8 hours of driving (470 km). Enjoy lunch en-route.
We will stop at a rubber tree plantation at Chup and visit its factory before continue moving to Kampong Cham. We will arrive to Kampong in the late afternoon. Check in your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Have dinner at indigenous restaurant. Stay overnight at hotel. Your 7th day with Asia Private Travels ends.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today, we will depart to Kompong Khleang - a typical floating village by private transport. It will take us about an hour to get there. It is prominent for the largest community and having the highest stilt houses on Tonle Sap lake. Take a stroll through the village and visit a crocodile farm.
Up next, take a boat ride to go through the canals to a large lake where Vietnamese people live in the dry season. Turn back to the village and have a picnic lunch in a indigenous house.
Afterwards, we drive to Siem Reap to check - in your hotel.
Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
It’s time to capture some last photos to preserve memories and moments in Siem Reap. Purchase some great souvenirs for your loved ones back home. Our driver (without guide) will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
