THE STRAND CRUISE POLICY
1. Itinerary Variation
Although we always try our best to provide services accordingly to what have been stated in your final plan, occasionally we might have to alter the arranged itineraries. If conditions make cruise routes unsuitable for navigation or raise sufficient doubt for navigation, we reserve the rights to alter the initial plan. Hence, the sailing routes and arrangements can be changed without notice. Any alteration in the cruise routes will not lead to the eligibility for a refund request or compensation claim. In case of uncontrollable events or delays, the passengers may have to pay for extra expenditures or losses caused by that beyond its control.
2. Fuel supplements
The Strand Cruise has the right to ask passengers to pay for a fuel supplement in case the price of fuel applied in the local increases. This charge is applicable to the days prior to and the sailing date itself. The supplement amount will be collected basing on the number of people and be applicable at the booking time, in advance of the departure date even if the applicable fare has been fully paid.
3. Reservations & Payment
At the booking time, you are required to make a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total charge as a confirmation of your reservation on The Strand Cruise. The remaining amount must be paid within 70 days in advance of the cruise’s departure date.
If you make your reservation within 95 days prior to the departure date, you are required to make full payment at the booking time. If you fail to make the payment on the due date, your reservation will be canceled.
4. Booking Changes & Cancellation of reservation
Under the circumstance that you have to cancel your trip, you should notify us in writing. We will regard the date of receiving your notice in writing as the date of cancellation performance. The followings are certain charges for cancellation after you have made deposit or final payment.

* When calculating the refund for your cancellation, we will deduct the wire fees and credit card commissions.
5. Cancellation of Departure
The Strand Cruise reserves the right to call off, revise or delay and sailing date and route. We will notify the passengers of any alterations at least 55 days in advance of the departure. In case a cruise is canceled completely, we will fully refund the amount paid for the cruise to passengers with confirmed bookings.
6. Force majeure
In the event of unpredictable or unavoidable situations, beyond our controlling capability, including but not limited to the event of war, civil or political unrest, strikes, catastrophes, epidemics, adverse river conditions or disruption to fuel supplies to the vessel, the Strand Cruise may cancel the trip and make a full refund of all the payment made by the passengers. However, if the cruise is canceled due to the above force majeure circumstances after the start of that cruise period, no refund will be made and the company will bear no liability for making compensation.
7. Travel Documentation & Insurance
The passengers have to ensure that they have necessary documentations to travel to Myanmar and sufficient travel insurance for their trip. The passengers must bring a passport valid for at least six (6) months after their scheduled leaving from Myanmar. The passengers must verify and obtain a visa to enter Myanmar themselves. If you fail to obtain visa, your cancellation fees will not be waived under the circumstance that you want to cancel your trip. The Strand Cruise shall bear no responsibility or liability for the delay or missed portioned of any cruise because of invalid travel documentation.
8. Child Policy
The Strand Cruise allows children of six year olds and older to share a cabin with their parent(s). The active land expeditions and the atmosphere on board are not appropriate for younger children. For children older than 12, a private cabin is required. The parents must supervise their children all the time and be responsible for their safety. There are no child-care or babysitting services on board.
9. Health Services and Medical Requirements
The cabins and public areas on The Strand Cruise are allocated over its four decks, and unluckily, there is no lift connecting the decks for passengers with limited mobility. Therefore, those who want to take the cruise must have a well-functioned body. When the passengers confirm their bookings, they also guarantee that they are physically fit and capable of complying with the rules and regulations on the ship and instructions of the crew.
